Oliver Machine Products Inc Information

Oliver Machine was formed by Everett Oliver in September 1965. He was a machinist by trade and with the help of his parents, Everett Sr., and Mary, he opened his own machine shop specializing in small precision parts, primarily aircraft and prototype. In August of 1967 he added a second product line, the O & M Portable Band Saw. Both product lines are still in production. In 1992 Everett decided to try retirement, and work on his other passion of restoring classic cars. He closed the shop in California, moved all the shop assets to Nevada and selling the shop, assets, licensing and patents to Shirley Herdlitka. Deciding that retirement was really not his "thing" he returned to the company as a Consultant and then as General Manager. After the death of Everett in May of 2013 Shirley sold the company in January 2014 to two employees and fully retired. She had been partially retired since 2006, yet still retaining ownership of the company.
