OLIVE Chiropractic Information

In late 2012, OLIVE chiropractic was opened on the Logan Road strip of Mt. Gravatt Central. This area is full of history, character and the perfect location for creating a sustainable, fresh new space. Rather than building a new practice from scratch, we have 'recycled' an old dark, disused shop and have transformed it into an open, bright professional premises with an earthy, relaxed feel. The construction and design of OLIVE has been done with sustainable and environmental principles in mind. Our purpose was to create an inspiring healing environment that serves the needs of our community and beyond. The result is an elegant, open reception area utilising extensive natural light from the front doors and windows, an open family adjusting space with the option to transform into a yoga or presentation/ workshop area, an open or closed adjusting/ consultation room as well as a staff area. OLIVE has used environmentally friendly materials where possible during the construction of the premise. The practice has been painted with non-toxic, low VOC paint throughout. The concrete structural walls of OLIVE were left exposed and painted, to express the character of the old building. Throughout the practice, 4 star 'green' carpet tiles & marmoleum flooring has been sourced and the non- mercury, long life span LED lighting provides OLIVE with minimal energy consumption. We adore our beautiful, healthy, holistic, eco-friendly space. However, our sustainable practices extend far beyond our premise - the health of the earth is a major consideration in everything we do. The central location encourages staff and clients to walk, bus or bike. The choice of a paperless computer system, reusable face cloths, fluoride/ carbon filtered water, antique, recycled and timber furnishings, Himalayan lamps, recycled stationary: paper, pens, business cards, cups and all of our cleaning products are all environmentally friendly.
