Olean Business Development Information

Olean Business Development Corporation (OBDC) supports business development in the great Olean area. OBDC was founded by local entrepreneurs to help facilitate business development by helping to nurture the entrepreneurial ecosystem that exists in the Olean area, and to help foster and build a startup community culture. OBDC manages a building built in 1895 that houses several for profit and non-profit businesses, and is the home the The Hub - an experiential co-working space that hosts local businesses and programs to support business development activities for emerging businesses. A nonprofit (501c3) corporation, OBDC is led by a dynamic board of directors and administrative team, and is advised and supported by a network of executive leaders from the area’s largest employers. Current programs supported by OBDC and hosted in The Hub space are the Laine Business Accelerator (an annual program that helps accelerate the growth of main street businesses that impact Olean), programming and an established mentor system that supports local business owners in overcoming their challenges (Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, Finance/Accounting, Marketing, Operations) and other programs specific to the needs of the local economy.
