PDSA is the UK’s leading veterinary charity. At PDSA, our vision is a society in which no pet is denied veterinary care just because their owner can’t afford it. With 49 PDSA Pet Hospitals, we deliver vital services across the UK, providing more than 2.2 million treatments and helping more than 430,000 pets every year. PDSA been a lifeline for the owners of sick and injured pets for over 100 years. In that time, we have seen over 20 million pets and provided 118 million treatments. Our services are run by the dedicated vets and vet nurses at our hospitals and cost more than £80 million a year to provide. PDSA receives no government funding, we are entirely funded by public support; mainly through gifts in wills, donations and our charity shops. Our Team: People who work for PDSA are naturally passionate about animal wellbeing. We have more than 2,000 full and part-time staff, based at our Pet Hospitals, in our shops and support centres. We also have an amazing network of more than 2,800 volunteers who provide vital support throughout the UK. At Cats Protection we’re here for every cat. At the forefront of research on cat welfare, we use our decades of experience to support cat owners to keep their pets happy, healthy and safe. From creating a cat-friendly home, to understanding their behaviour, to fostering cats for anyone fleeing domestic abuse. We know that, for many people, their cat is part of the family. So our trained volunteer listeners are here to support anyone who’s dealing with the heartbreak of their cat’s death, a cat who has gone missing or difficult issues like euthanasia. We also offer cat owners peace of mind that, if they should pass away themselves, we’ll look after their cat and find them a loving new home. Helping people understand their cats better means we can often avoid the need for owners to give up their pets. But when rehoming is the right thing to do, we look after cats with care and kindness, and help them find a loving new place to stay. We campaign to make sure cats are not forgotten by decision makers, speaking out on issues like kitten smuggling and cat theft. And we run the world’s largest single-species neutering programme, for both pets and feral cats, to support a healthy and balanced cat population. We are a charity that provides specialist care, services, and support for pets and people throughout their life together. We cherish the profound bond between pets and their owners, recognising the remarkable difference they make in each other's lives. Our work is multifaceted, addressing a range of pet needs: Rehoming & Fostering: We care for and match homeless cats, dogs, horses, and small pets with loving families across the UK, ensuring each pet finds the right home. Veterinary: Our four animal hospitals provide care for sick and injured pets when their families cannot afford private treatment. Behaviour: We assist pets with behavioral issues upon arrival and offer ongoing support for rehomed pets. Our leading charity status in pet behaviour enables us to educate others through talks, social media, and training materials. Education: We offer talks and advice to support people in caring for their pets, both now and in the future. Pet Loss: Our Pet Loss Support Service is available 365 days a year to help those coping with the loss of a pet, with trained volunteers providing support. We recognise the importance of pet owners and work hard to improve their lives too. By supporting pet owners, we believe we can create happier and healthier lives for both pets and their human companions.
