Oku Education Information

Oku is a learning center that offers flexible educational options for TK-6th grade. Choose from five, three, and two days per week programs, individual classes, or drop-in for the day or week. Classes are taught in small, multi-age classrooms with differentiated learning. Children work with their peers at their own academic level and pace. Lessons are tailored for each child to allow him/her to learn at a level that promotes growth, understanding, independence, and concept mastery. The Oku program is structured around Project Based Lessons which introduce concepts in a multi-faceted manner with practical applications and hands-on STEAM days. Academic curriculum is integrated with social skills lessons, freedom of movement within the classroom, and a positive behavior approach. At Oku, an emphasis is placed on teaching kindness and respect as well as on academics.
