OKTABIT successfully entered the Greek IT field in 1992. It is focused on distribution offering carefully selected top quality products from world-class suppliers of computer peripherals to local dealers, VARs, distributors and retail chains. OKTABIT achieved Excellence in Distribution, focusing on the highest level of customer satisfaction and long-lasting cooperation with reliable vendors. The company distributes among others: PCs, computer peripherals, servers, notebooks, networking products, software, multimedia products etc. OKTABIT considers the regional coverage of the customer needs among its highest priorities. Based on this, there are two operation centres, the central one in Athens responding to most areas in Greece and the branch office in Thessaloniki covering Northern Greece. Further to the company’s policy to strengthen its growth and constantly streamline its business model, OKTABIT SA insists on the development of the state-of–the art cooperation through the selective product portfolio, flexible management and dynamic sales network. Oktabit focuses strongly on new technologies and the first expression in this direction is the company's R&D department. Its purpose is to develop and deliver specialized services based, a.o., on technologies such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. With a view to the dynamic approach of both Greek and international markets, these new services are available in an automated cloud service environment (SaaS). In late 2018 Oktabit launched Reccodo, an easy to install service that understands eshops customers’ behaviour as they browse through the site. It aims to offer e-shops easy-to-use intelligent services. In that way, advanced technologies in the realm of big data are easily accessible to e-shop owners.
