O'Keeffe & Associates is a strategic consultancy specialising in firm and value chain level strategies. Our approach is based on the seemingly obvious but powerful research results which noted that firm level effects are about 5 times more important that industry characteristics on firm performance. Headed by Michael O'Keeffe, we take pride in our ability to deliver practical recommendations and strategic insights based on rigorous research. Over the past decade we have developed a rich network of leading thinkers in strategy, value chains, relationships and marketing. - and we build our own tools based on the latest research. The consulting work is supported by a range of integrated tools that diagnose the strength of the relationships along the chain and new value creation opportunities. Michael has a long record in consultancy, heading up Rabobank's Agribusiness Advisory Group and Monash University's Agribusiness Research Unit. Current and past clients include Waitrose UK, Wrightson NZ, AWB Limited, Monsanto, Graincorp, Grainco, Incitec, Wesfarmers, Telstra and the Federal Government. Michael is a Director of Agribuys Australia Pty Ltd, a B2B E-Commerce company focusing on the food industries. Michael continues to represent Agribuys in the Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Agribuys, Michael was National Business Manager - Produce with Franklins Supermarkets. Michael is also Adjunct Professor of Value Chain Management at the University of Queensland. He is on the editorial Board of "Supply Chain Management: an International Journal", published in the UK. Michael is co-editor of 'New Directions in Corporate Strategy' published in 2000 by Allen and Unwin in conjunction with the Australian Graduate School of Management.
