A Processualistas foi criada em 2016, com o objetivo inicial de lançar uma coluna periódica composta apenas por mulheres, visando a conferir espaço e visibilidade para autoras publicarem textos de qualidade sobre Direito Processual. Após 3 (três) meses de grande repercussão, o grupo ampliou os seus horizontes e firmou uma honrosa parceria com o Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Processual – IBDP, para apoio ao projeto "Mulheres no Direito Processual Civil Brasileiro”. A parceria logrou êxito e possibilitou a investida em outros projetos. Em 2018, o IBDP e a Processualistas criaram a Competição Brasileira de Processo Civil em homenagem ao grande processualista Professor José Carlos Barbosa Moreira, que reúne anualmente estudantes de graduação de todo o país para a discussão de casos, elaboração de peças e simulação de julgamentos. Além de estudantes, centenas de professores e ilustres integrantes da comunidade jurídica se envolvem como avaliadores das equipes. De lá para cá muitos foram os eventos realizados em parceria e por realização própria da Processualistas, sempre em busca de seus propósitos primários, quais sejam, ampliar espaço de participação feminina no âmbito acadêmico, através de projetos e idealizações que visem, primordialmente, o engajamento científico e aprimoramento do Direito Processual.
