OH SNAP! Benefit Festival Information

OH SNAP! Festival is a joint venture setup by 6 alumni from Southwestern University to commemorate another SU alum, Sergio Machado. Sergio was a vibrant & warm exchange student from Mozambique who was killed in a head-on collision upon his return home after graduating form Southwestern University in 2005. Sergio was known for always saying "Oh Snap!" at the drop of a hat. This festival began as a party with a few bands to help memorialize Sergio's life. After a successful first event and thanks to a strong musical community connected to Sergio and his friends, the event developed into a full-fledged music festival with over 7 events, culminating with a festival in downtown Austin with 50 bands over 2 days. All proceeds from the OH SNAP! Festival go towards the Sergio Machado Memorial Scholarship Fund at Southwestern University.
