We are OBST & GEMÜSE. A cycling landmark in Basel, Switzerland and beyond. Our name directly translates as fruit & vegetables. Which is reflected in the related yet opposite products that we offer in our store: cargo-bikes downstairs and performance- (race) bikes upstairs. Lightweight and high-freight. Since we’ve opened in 2009 as a fixed-gear bike specialist we’ve transformed into the all-inclusive shop we are today. Everything we do revolves around quality. In terms of the products we offer, the attention and service we give to our customers, the way we treat our employees, the approach we take towards projects and the space we’re in. Something you’ll notice as soon as you walk in. For the last eleven years we’ve been a central hub for cycling in Basel and beyond. Basel is right on the borders between Switzerland, France and Germany. We have the black forest and vosges on one side and the Swiss Jura on the other. Making it an ideal cycling destination.
