The Apollo Restaurant Group
We opened The Apollo in Potts Point back in 2011 with a pretty simple idea: honest Greek food, a room people want to linger in, and hospitality that feels genuine rather than scripted. That idea has since grown into a family of restaurants across Sydney, Brisbane and Tokyo, and a team of more than 350 people who care a lot about getting the little things right. Today our venues include The Apollo, Cho Cho San and Olympus Dining in Sydney, Greca and Yoko Dining in Brisbane, and The Apollo in Tokyo. This October we're opening two new restaurants, at Wunderlich Lane in Sydney, and we can't wait to share them! What ties it all together is how we work. We obsess over our guests, which means anticipating what they need before they ask and remembering their names when they come back. We believe in Kaizen, so every one of us is always finding something small to do a bit better tomorrow. We'd rather be original than follow a trend, and we own it together, because a great night out only happens when the whole team is moving as one. We're also big believers in growing our own. Plenty of our chefs and managers started on the floor or in the kitchen with us, and we put real time into training, development and leadership programs so people can build a proper career in hospitality, not just pick up shifts. If you love food, design and looking after people, we'd love to hear from you. BONDI ICEBERGS CLUB
Bondi Icebergs Club is a Registered & Licensed Club featuring a casual dining bistro, various bars, function facilities, TAB and gaming area. The Club also incorporates the famous Bondi Baths that have been a landmark of Bondi Beach for over 100 years. Our Winter Swimming Club dates back to 1929 and owes its origin to the desire of a band of local life savers trying to maintain their fitness during the Winter months. They formed the Bondi Icebergs Winter Swimming Club, drew up a constitution and elected office bearers. Included in the constitution was a rule that to maintain membership it was mandatory that swimmers compete on three Sundays out of four for a period of five years. This rule, known as the “15B rule” still exists and has been the source of much commentary over the years. The Bondi Icebergs become licensed in 1960 and the members moved from a tin shed into comfortable premises with bar & poker machines. A further update took place in the 1970’s enabling the Club to operate on two floors. In 1995 female members were admitted, and in 2002 the Club opened their new premises. The Bondi Icebergs is the only licensed Winter Swimming Club in the world. Since its beginning back in 1929, the Club has forged a reputation as one of Australia’s most famous Winter Swimming Clubs. We could not have reached where we are today without the support of all the members who have been involved with this great Australian swimming club.
