It is the mission of the Oakland Music Festival (OMF) to showcase the music that is emerging out of the abundance of cultural capital in Oakland and to create an economic engine to support the creative economy. The Oakland Music Festival is entering it's 3rd year and serves as the premier Music Festival showcasing electronic, hip-hop, indie, latin, and R&B held in the last weekend of September. The Oakland Music Festival seeks to curate a concert and arts festival that captures the eclectic spirit housed in the city of Oakland and increase awareness of "The Town's" talent and beauty in their various media.
