Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation was created in 1965 to work towards alleviating the causes and conditions of poverty in Southwest Missouri. Today, OACAC serves ten counties in Southwest Missouri. OACAC is well known for the Head Start Program and the LIHEAP Program (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. However, we would like to educate the public that we have many other programs such as: Family Support & Targeted Coaching, Weatherization, Foster Grandparent Program, Housing Assistance, Family Planning, and The Neighborhood Centers.
