NYDHEE Information

NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment), established in 2001, is a pioneering nonprofit organization committed to transforming the lives of marginalized communities across Odisha and Jharkhand. Our work focuses on tribal, Dalit, and economically disadvantaged groups, including ultra-poor and migrant households, small-scale farmers, disadvantaged women, unemployed youth, and underprivileged children. With a mission to drive sustainable development through community empowerment, NYDHEE harnesses social capital and enhances access to essential services. We are guided by a vision of building a prosperous and equitable society grounded in democratic values. NYDHEE's initiatives span sustainable livelihoods, natural resource management, health, sanitation, education, and women’s empowerment. We emphasize capacity building, market integration, and collective entrepreneurship to position communities for long-term resilience and self-reliance. Currently, we impact over 8,850 households across 171 villages, working in diverse agro-ecological regions. Our innovative approaches in climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, integrated livestock management, and skill development aim to create self-sustaining ecosystems. Through strategic partnerships, NYDHEE continues to scale its impact, ensuring measurable, sustainable change at the grassroots level.
