nWave Studios Information

Telling stories in 3D for over 30 years... nWave Studios is an independent European animation studio based in Brussels and now Liège, creating original 3D films for audiences around the world. Since 1994, we’ve brought to life over 120 animated projects, from feature films to theme park rides and short films. You might know us from Fly Me to the Moon, Sammy’s Adventures, The Queen’s Corgi, or Bigfoot Family. More recently, Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness (2022), The Inseparables (2023), and Chickenhare and the Secret of the Groundhog (2025) reached audiences in cinemas and on streaming platforms across the globe. Over the years, our work has earned more than 20 international awards and 10 major festival nominations. Our films have also been nominated twice at the Annecy International Animation Festival, including Bigfoot Family and The Inseparables. Every year, we’re at Annecy to celebrate animation, share our latest work, and meet new talent. This year, YUGLY had the honor of opening the Annecy Présente category. What’s next? YUGLY, our next feature film, is coming to cinemas in October 2026!
