NVPI Information

NVPI is the association for the Dutch film and music industry, representing record companies and film companies (theatrical and home-entertainment). NVPI was established in 1976. NVPI is as such the umbrella organization for two trade organizations: NVPI Muziek for the Music industry; NVPI Film for filmdistributors en filmed home-entertainment. In terms of overall turnover, the NVPI represents approximately 90% of recording companies and 90% of film companies. The NVPI's purpose is to provide its sectors with the best representation in government, the press, politics and relevant consultative bodies. In doing so, it creates the most rewarding business climate possible. The NVPI also supplies its members with various services exclusively or at a reduced rate. NVPI is affiliated to the international umbrella organisations: NVPI Muziek to the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry); NVPI Film to the IVF (International Video Federation) and FIAD (International Federation of Filmdistributors’ Associations).
