NutriWallet’s application will enable users to identify the affordability of their groceries based on the prices provided by different grocery stores. The application works by, the user creating their shopping list in the application. After the list is created, it calculates the total price of the grocery list at different online grocery stores. Lastly, the results of the total prices in different supermarkets are displayed to the users. Then, it is up to users to select which store they want to order their groceries from. Once selected, and are then forwarded to the online grocery store’s website with their cart filled in with the items in their grocery list and ready to be ordered from the supermarket. The application is made possible by an algorithm web scrapes and inputs the prices of online grocery stores and calculates the price of items as people enter the list.
