The Forks North Portage Partnership, a key stakeholder in the development of downtown Winnipeg, is responsible for the ownership, management and continuing renewal of The Forks and North Portage sites. The Forks is Winnipeg's all-season 'meeting place,' located at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers! It is a waterfront heritage site of 54 acres consisting of park and green space, public market, children's museum, theatre for young people, boutique hotel, recreation port, skate board plaza, and much more. North Portage is located on Portage Ave. and consists of land holdings with a number of commercial leases to private sector operators. Additionally the Forks North Portage Partnership owns and operates the parking lots at on the North Portage site.
