Previously known us as Dr. Day Care, we’re proud to introduce our new name: NurturEd Early Learning Center. Back in 1972, our Founder Dr. Mary Ann Shallcross Smith started a small day care business in her home to care for her infant son and to help meet a growing need within our community. As we’ve grown, so has our mission. Today, we offer more than care. We provide education, enrichment, and meaningful learning experiences that help children thrive—both inside and outside the classroom. This growth has led us to bring programs together under one unified vision: EdCentral. Education is our priority. NurturEd, EnhancEd, and EnrichEd are our full family of services. While our names and logos are evolving, our commitment remains unchanged: to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment—with a continued focus on education for children, teachers, families, and one another. NurturEd will continue to be our nationally accredited full day programs for infants through school age.
