Numerion Software’s Carbon is a high-performance, fully deterministic Displacement Based Dynamics (DBD) C++ library that integrates Rigid and Soft Body simulation into a multi-physics solution. With a focus since 2009 on Cloth and Volumetric simulation for Real to Sim Digital Twins, for movie visual effects, Carbon has also been used under the radar, since 2016, for Sim to Real for haptics mediated robot operator training (medical and nuclear) and digital twin in the loop for nuclear robotics at UKAEA. Today, following recent upgrades, Carbon is now bridging the Sim to Real Gap for AI training for robotics, and, as a real-time dynamics solution augmenting Physical AI. Carbon provides a unified physics frame-work supporting the simulation of Soft and Rigid bodies with collision and motion constraints (such as Joints), in an easy to use, high performance package for games and movie developers. Carbon uses non-linear constraint solvers to deliver a robustness not typically seen in real-time solutions.
