NSW Lotteries continues to make millionaires with a huge $9.41 million win in the $2 Jackpot Lottery draw this morning. The jackpot prize went to a registered winner who purchased their ticket in the Sydney suburb of Caringbah. The winner has requested total anonymity. The jackpot prize has been climbing since it was last won on 6 October last year at $16.32 million. The winning entry - number 152552 in draw 9446 - was sold by Port Hacking Newsagency at 501A, Port Hacking Road, Caringbah. Jeff Cindric, owner of Port Hacking Newsagency said that he was absolutely ecstatic when he found out that the $9.41 million prize was sold from his shop. "In four years we have never sold a prize over $1 million, and now we've sold a prize of over $9 million; it is a strange but wonderful feeling," Mr Cindric said. "The majority of our customers are locals or tradesmen working in the area. My customers really are a great bunch of people, they all work hard for a living. My instinct tells me that the winner is a deserving one. "I'll celebrate this news with a beer tonight and toast good luck to the winner with their new fortune. Everyone will be speculating about who the lucky winner is; seeing as the winner already knows who they are, they can sit back and smile knowing that its them," Mr Cindric added. The jackpot prize now reverts to the base prize offer of $500,000 for draw 9447 scheduled for tomorrow morning (Friday 5 March). In the event of discrepancy between this publication and the Official NSW Lotteries Results as published, the latter shall prevail.
