We are America’s Electric Cooperatives. The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to promoting, supporting and protecting the national interests of electric cooperatives and the consumer-members they serve. NRECA’s more than 900 member co-ops serve 1 in 8 people across 56 percent of the country's landmass. We are strong advocates for our members, helping safeguard their ability to provide safe, reliable and affordable electric service. We are industry leaders committed to the research and development of new energy technologies. Our work ensures our members are prepared to implement the energy solutions that are best for their communities. With programs and services promoting global development through rural electrification abroad, NRECA is also changing lives and growing communities around the world.
