NOW Gallery Information

NOW Gallery's intention is to provide an arts space accessible to all which showcases creativity in all its complexity and diversity. From the outset NOW Gallery has invited artists, designers and creatives spanning a breadth of career levels and backgrounds to freely express their point of view in both the unique gallery building and wider Greenwich Peninsula public realm. Jemima Burrill and Kaia Charles curate five exhibitions a year for NOW Gallery including 3 solo shows which focus on art, fashion and design. These commissions have so far included an exciting mix of emerging and established fashion talent including Charles Jeffry, Molly Goddard and more recently Mowalola. The design focussed exhibitors on the other hand include Glasgow based artists Laura Aldridge and James Rigler, Emmanuelle Moureaux, Studio Morison and Camille Walala. NOW has also introduced to exhibitions that give a platform to emerging interdisciplinary practitioners; Human Stories an annual photographic series unpicking the social constructs around race, identity and aesthetics and the NOW Gallery Young Artist exhibition which spotlights the best in new talent. The latter has featured illustrator Hattie Stewart and crystal artist Sara Shakeel. 'NOW Gallery is the catalyst creating exhibitions that respond to the continuously evolving Greenwich Peninsula site. Fashion designers, designers, and artists create exhibitions which are playful, inspiring and bring our unconventional gallery space to life.
