Novocraft Technologies is a bioinformatics company operating in the space of software and services for the fast-growing market of next-generation DNA sequencing technologies. Novocraft specialises in the development of fast and accurate tools for comparative genomics. Our flagship product is an aligner for single- and paired-end reads from the Illumina Genome Analyzer and Helicos platforms. Novoalign finds global optimum alignments using full Needleman-Wunsch algorithm with affine gap penalties whilst performing at the same or better speed than aligners that are limited to two mismatches and no insert or deletes. We provide bioinformatics analysis services to companies/academics who do not have the capacity to manage copious gigabytes of DNA sequencing data. We also work with Next-generation DNA sequencing companies to provide solutions for sample sequencing and data analysis.
