Nova Learning Inc Information

Nova Learning is the developer of nine Public-Private Partnership (P3) schools that are leased to the Province of Nova Scotia under long term leases. The concept and floor plan for each school was formulated in close collaboration with the school community; and the facilities were then designed and constructed to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding the design criteria established by the Province. The first three schools were opened in 1997 to 1999, and are operated by their respective school boards. The last six schools were opened in 1999 to 2001, and the facilities for these schools are operated by Nova Learning. We take pride that each school we operate is maintained in superb condition, creating an excellent and carefree learning environment. Our complete facility service allows school staff to focus fully on students and education. The principal, vice-principal, senior school board and Department of Education representatives meet with Nova Learning's management staff in regularly scheduled Facilities Management Team meetings to address operational matters and to ensure that the facilities are functioning in full support of the school's academic and recreational programs. The gymnasium and other school facilities are also available for community use under the control of the principal and school board.
