Nourishing Food Systems Information

I work as a food systems, environment and climate advisor focusing on biodiversity, sustainable diets and livestock. Currently clients include the Changing Markets Foundation, Greenpeace and Merchant Gourmet. Throughout 2021 I worked with Action Against Hunger as a Food Crises Researcher, looking at the relationship between the environment, food and nutrition security, conflict and climate change. I convened workshops, leading the climate change working group and developing engagement strategies for G7, the Food Systems Summit, COP 26 and Nutrition for Growth. I worked on the Glasgow Dialogues with IPES-Food and Nourish Scotland and coordinate the Fork to Farm Dialogues for Nourish Scotland. I supported the preparation of multi stakeholder dialogues between farmers, local governments and community groups to enable a just transition to a future where food and farming is part of the solution. I have worked with Chatham House on food and nutrition security, the impact of the COVID pandemic and climate change on local and international trade, for large and small scale producers in Africa and South Asia. I am participating in the Global Alliance for the Future of Food (GAFF) Salzburg process on food systems. I was invited to work with the GAFF in New York in September 2019 at Climate Week due to my work on food systems. I am on the advisory body for the DiverIMPACTS project, which focuses on crop diversification through crop rotation. This built on my work at WWF UK on agricultural diversity, which partially led to their partnership with Knorr and the Future 50 report.
