Food banking offers a solution to both chronic hunger and the climate crisis. The Global FoodBanking Network works with partners in over 50 countries to recover and redirect food to those who need it.
In 2024, our Network provided food to more than 39 million people, reducing food waste and creating healthy, resilient communities. We help the food system function as it should: nourishing people and the planet together.
ABOUT SHARE FOOD PROGRAM
Share Food Program is the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation. Today, about 22 percent of Philadelphians live in poverty—twice the rate of the national average, and the reason Share Food Program is here. Each month, Share feeds hundreds of thousands individuals—more than half of whom are children and seniors.
OUR MISSION
Share Food Program leads the fight against food insecurity in the Philadelphia region by serving an expansive, quality partner network of community-based organizations and school districts engaged in food distribution, education, and food justice advocacy.

Saving Grace bridges the gap between two of Omaha’s greatest needs: the need to rescue an overabundance of perishable and prepared foods, and the need to feed those in our community who go hungry and are malnourished. Saving Grace is a nonprofit food rescue and delivery agency that picks up donated perishable food in refrigerated trucks from heartland restaurants, caterers, cafeterias, grocery stores, delis and food distributors. Saving Grace does not warehouse food, but delivers it same-day, fresh and free of charge to nonprofit agencies that serve families in need. Local organizations that benefit from our service include pantries, missions, after-school programs, daycare centers, senior centers and churches. These agencies are able to use funds previously allocated to food costs toward other support services.
Our donated perishable and prepared foods provide needed produce, protein and dairy to some of our communities most challenged children, seniors and families. Our service is one solution to our community’s food waste and hunger issues.
We need your help! Please help us feed the hungry by rescuing the heartland’s bounty that would otherwise go to waste!
