Northwest Green Chemistry Information

Advancing green chemistry encourages business innovation to reduce or eliminate the use of hazardous substances that can contaminate the environment. Creating an organization to facilitate research, development, commercialization, technical assistance, and education in green chemistry and engineering is an important step toward that goal. NGC is being developed to take on that role. The center is a cooperative effort between industry, academic, government, non-governmental organizations, and tribal partners. The mission of the center is to enhance human and environmental health by fostering innovation and economic opportunities through sustainable and green chemistry and engineering solutions.
