Auburn University is a comprehensive land, space and sea grant research institution blending arts and applied sciences. The university continuously changes to accommodate today's needs, while still respecting the traditions and spirit of Auburn. As we grow and change, Auburn will always continue its tradition of excellence. The main campus had an enrollment during fall of 2017 of 29,776. Auburn University offers degrees in 15 schools and colleges at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels. Auburn University is known not only for its academic excellence, but also for its impact on Alabama as well. A recent study determined Auburn had a nearly $4 billion economic impact on the state of Alabama, including a $1.5 billion impact on the economy and a $2.4 billion impact in "human capital." Auburn's Technical Assistance Center, a collaborative engineering and business outreach unit, performs hundreds of projects annually for state industry, generating millions of dollars in increased efficiencies and saving or creating hundreds of jobs statewide.

The Montgomery Academy (MA) is a K–12, co-ed, nonsectarian day school serving the River Region community. Our mission is to develop leaders committed to honor, scholarship, service and the pursuit of excellence. This mission is lived, every day, as the motivating goal of everyone on campus. We teach PreK-12 students to think, live, and love based on what the Bible teaches. This is a biblical worldview. Our mission is to help our students develop a biblical worldview from the arts to zoology and everything in between. For our students and staff, the Bible is a lamp to their feet and a light to their life’s path (Psalm 119:105) as they learn “to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (II Cor. 10:5) so that in everything, “Christ might be preeminent.” (Col. 1:18) We offer both a deep and broad educational program. Depth is reflected in the quality of teaching in which wisdom, understanding and application are emphasized. Advanced, honors, AP, and dual-enrollment courses also deliver a deep and vibrant educational experience. Breadth is provided through a wide-variety of courses, including Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, Latin, Media Literacy Computer, Robotics, and Intro to Engineering, to name a few. These academic offerings are combined with outstanding and competitive fine arts and athletic programs to offer our students a varied and rich experience that cultivates their interests and gifts as they prepare for college and career. This quote from the Dean of Harvard Business School captures the spirit of Briarwood: “We must have the conviction to hold fast to the many traditions that have defined us for so many years [and] at the same time, we must have the courage to innovate.
