2000-2006 Northnights Cityguide/Weekender was the leading online guide to nightlife, covering the North’s major party cities. Featuring the best Restaurants, Bars, Clubs and Hotels in Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester & Liverpool, the website contained detailed venue information, the latest news, comprehensive club, gig & event listings, city maps, venue reviews, message board and community and special editorial features. Northnights Weekenders were unique weekend break packages, tailored and booked online, giving people the best of a City's nightlife. Weekender packages included drinks, guest list / VIP club entry and a room at a 4 or 5 star city centre hotel, with a luxury lie-in (a late room service breakfast and late checkout of 3pm). Some packages also included food, special events or activities. In 2005 over 7,500 people booked a Weekender. In 2006 Northnights was preparing to launch the concept in 32 European Cities, under the brands CityWeekender and ClubWeekender.
