The Impact Angel Alliance (“IAA”) is a non-profit organization set up to support an alliance of existing Angel groups, family offices, foundations, early stage VCs and strategic grant makers seeking to collaborate and co-invest in high performing, high impact, for-profit ventures across Canada. IAA’s mission is to: - Increase Angel investment into impact ventures; - Attract underrepresented Angels to impact; and - Catalyze impact venturing and investment within priority sectors. IAA is focused on increasing investment into early stage for-profit companies whose impact benefits are intentional and correlated with financial performance and returns. Commonly referred to as financial first impact or impact alpha investing, IAA focuses on best-in-breed start-ups whose impacts are: - Positive and intentional; - Positively correlated and unequivocally accretive to financial performance; and - Measured and integrated into corporate governance and management decision making.
