Northern Beaches Women's Shelter Information

Formerly Manly Women’s Shelter, Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter (NBWS) provides a safe haven for area women who are homeless. Factors leading to homelessness include physical, emotional or sexual abuse; family breakdown; financial strife; domestic violence; mental health issues and/or lack of affordable housing. We provide a case management, outcomes-based approach, assisting women to rebuild their lives by accessing permanent accommodation and community support systems and services. Our goal is enabling struggling local women to reclaim their lives and rejoin our community. Based on the Northern Beaches, we depend entirely on community support. Since we first opened our doors in 2010, well over 300 women have benefited from our services.
