The Northeast Pennsylvania Lions Eye Bank has changed the lives of more than 50,000 in Northeastern PA, across the US and around the world by facilitating the process of corneal donation and transplantation. Mission At the Eye Bank, our mission is simple: to procure and distribute corneal tissue for sight restoration, the improvement of visual impairments and to provide tissue for medical research seeking cures for eye disorders and diseases. There is no substitute for human corneal tissue—all of the Eye Bank’s efforts are wholly dependent upon the availability of donated corneas.
