NWLL are committed to the submission of a recovery and business plan for 2007/08 by the end of December. The schedule for closures will form an integral part of this, together with a proposed programme of investment and enhancement for the remaining centres at Chippenham, Corsham and Malmesbury. We would actively encourage customers at the three centres earmarked for closure to continue using them as normal and also welcome them to use our facilities at Chippenham, Corsham or Malmesbury. We will be making urgent arrangements over the next few weeks to ensure a continued service to the community. As soon as we have further information, we will communicate with the user groups and customers. Our aim is to be able to propose a programme of closures that will be communicated by the end of next week. Speculation at this stage as to potential closing dates is unhelpful. Arrangements will be made for a dedicated 'Hotline' to deal with enquiries from user groups and customers. We do not underestimate the impact these decisions will have and we recognise that this is a difficult time for both staff and customers alike.
