Family Promise is a national nonprofit that mobilizes communities to help homeless and low-income families achieve lasting independence. Family Promise is based in Summit, New Jersey, where we began our work in 1988, founded on the belief that Americans are compassionate people who want to make a difference. Today we have more than 200 Affiliates in 43 states, with more in development. Family Promise is a leader in promoting volunteerism and has served as a model of American volunteerism in the U. S. and abroad. Our programs involve 180,000 volunteers nationwide who provide assistance to more than 50,000 family members annually. Family Promise was chosen to receive one of 21 Points of Light awards out of a field of more than 4,500 nominees.

Our promise is to change the odds so that all children and their families, regardless of their circumstances, have the same chance to succeed in school and in life. We work to advance the education, income, and health of our neighborhoods and communities to ensure every child succeeds, every step of the way, from cradle to career.

Founded in 1904, Utah Food Bank has operated under various names but has always remained true to our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide.
