Nordic Function Information

Nordic Function is a Danish design company founded by Camilla Bernth. Nordic Function designs minimalistic and long lasting products and furniture - designs that can outlive fleeting trends. The materials are mainly wood and leather which only grow more beautiful through the years. Nordic Function aims at providing beautiful products characterized by both functionality, simplicity in shape and quality of materials. The ideas arise from everyday life situations, and the aim is to bring visual and functional comfort for consumers. Another factor is quality in materials and production, as the designs are crafted in materials such as leather, oak, brass and steel and often hand made. Nordic Function's first design was the multifunctional furniture "Not just a table". The idea came when having guests and there was a need for extra seating - the seating should be just nearby, not in the attic or in the shed. The two functions - as a table and stool - developed to even more functions. The design was registered at the Patent- og Varemærkestyrelsen(DK) in October 2012. The designer and owner Camilla Bernth believes in "less is more" without compromising the aesthetics.
