NOiR Runway Fashion Information

Since its inception in the fall of 1999, NOiR has established itself as the premier runway fashion organization on campus, with the mission to produce a high quality runway show for a charitable cause. Through its events and activities, NOiR maintains the idea that fashion can be used as an avenue to raise awareness and as an instrument of service. The Be Kind. Be Bold. Be You. campaign was created in 2011 to help spread awareness about the devastating impact of bullying by encouraging individuality, boldness, and above all, kindness. Today, as the front running Spring runway fashion show at the University of Michigan, NOiR leverages its collective power to do more in the community each year. NOiR commits over 50 models, a dozen designers, and staff to volunteer for an annual cause elected by the executive board. As an organization seeking community outreach, NOiR draws models, designers, sponsors, and staff from all walks of life, symbolizing the fusion of style and service. The synergy of art, expression, compassion and necessity for service has sustained culture, community, and following dedicated to NOiR’s motto.
