With over 20 years in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) work, I have learned that the greatest barrier to DEI and social justice is the heart, consciousness, and courage of individuals. It isn’t laws or policies or programs, but individual beliefs and behaviors. DEI is, first and foremost, a personal journey of self-reflection and action. Before we can impact an organization, we must first impact the individuals and the teams within it, and this is why I started NLYB Solutions.
