NIS Gazprom Neft Information

NIS is one of the biggest vertically integrated oil companies in South East Europe. Its principal activities are oil and natural gas explorations, production and refining, as well as sale of a broad range of petroleum products. NIS has two refineries, in Pančevo and in Novi Sad, as well as an LPG production unit in Elemir. The Company produces around 1.7 million toe of oil and gas a year, operating in Serbia, Angola and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total volume of processed crude oil is nearly 3 million tons a year. The Company’s retail network has more than 350 facilities: petrol stations, filling stations, and a network of crude oil storage facilities. NIS is Serbia’s leading supplier of petroleum products. The Company’s headquarters and its main production facilities are in the Republic of Serbia, whose geographic position makes it a trading and investment centre of the Balkans. Most of NIS oil and gas fields are located in Vojvodina. NIS has production facilities in Angola and Turkmenistan, as well as the Jadran-Naftagas company in the Republic of Srpska, which was established as a joint-venture with the company Neftegazinkor. NIS’s subsidiary companies are located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania, with representative offices in Russia, Angola, Turkmenistan, Belgium and Croatia. Gazprom Neft owns 56.15 % of the share capital in NIS, while 29.88 % of NIS shares is in the ownership of the Republic of Serbia. The remaining portion belongs to citizens, employees, former employees and other minor shareholders. The Company currently has around 2.3 million shareholders (as of 31 December 2013). NIS shares are listed on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
