Nirman Foundation Information

A non-profit organization based out of Kolkata, West Bengal, actively working on issues around water, sanitation and hygiene. Nirman Foundation aims at building community resilience in decision making and problem solving on issues around water and sanitation. Menstrual hygiene management and WASH has been one of the long standing areas of commitment and engagement for us. We believe in working towards making WASH facilities and menstrual hygiene management accessible to all and ensuring need-based, relevant interventions. Vision: An empowered community with sustained positive attitude and practices in public health and human rights. Mission: Aim to develop WASH infrastructure and to improve capacity building and awareness of community towards sustainable public health & wellbeing Objectives: • To normalize improved health practices and attitude towards menstruation through education, advocacy and facilitating availability and accessibility of resources • To improve attitude and practices in sanitation and hygiene, ensure sustainable access to safe water through infrastructure and creating a local pool of change makers through capacity building, training and generating awareness
