The name ‘Nirapon’ evokes the Bangla concept of ‘safety and security.’ Nirapon is a member-led organization, now bringing together 70 global brands, united by a single goal: To make every factory in Bangladesh a safe place to work. Launched in 2018 as the successor to the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety, Nirapon represents a strategic shift in the industry, moving beyond engineering remediation toward a self-sustaining model of safety management that focuses on behavioral transformation to ensure worker and workplace safety. What sets us apart is our pioneering Safety Management Program (SMP). Currently, over 400 manufacturing businesses across the country participate in the SMP, making it a credible tool for promoting lasting behavior change. By providing the latest tools and technical expertise, we empower owners, managers, and workers to make risk management an inseparable part of daily operations. While accidents are a reality, we firmly believe that they are preventable through the right systems and commitment.
