Nippon Express de España, S.A. was founded in 1988 by the group Nippon Express Company Ltd, one of the leaders companies in transport and logistics in Japan, and establishing its head office in Madrid. Throughout this period, several offices have been opened in Spain to provide national coverage to the entire market of logistics and freight transport, currently having offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao. In 2000 Nippon Express de España, S.A created Nippon Express Portugal, with offices in Lisbon and Oporto.
