nihito is an ETH SpinOff helping commercial fleet operators maximize depot electrification without costly grid upgrades - as fleets transition to electric vehicles, charging, dispatching, energy management, and grid constraints become tightly interconnected. Our solution combines mathematical optimization, real-time orchestration, and eventually battery energy storage systems (BESS) to increase the number of electric vehicles that can operate within existing depot grid limits. Unlike traditional energy management systems, nihito optimizes the entire depot operation and can provide a “virtual grid extension” through BESS, enabling higher electrification rates with lower CAPEX and operational risk.
