Nicander Limited Information

Nicander Ltd is a software systems (SME) provider specialising in the development and support of a range of IT solutions, from simple desktop applications for mobile phones, through to complex IT systems used in application critical environments. These systems include the integration of many different technologies such as databases, expert systems, graphical information systems, networking and telephony. Nicander is a private limited company and was established in 2007 (Registration 6454561). We are based in the North East of England and employ 44 staff, the majority of which are technical software engineers. Nicander’s Integrated Management System is certified to ISO9001:2008 and ISO27001:2013. We have focused our business in the intelligent transport systems (ITS) market and currently support national traffic management systems in Sweden and England, as well as asset and fault management systems in Dublin and across Ireland. Nicander and its staff have been involved in the design, development and support of systems to manage traffic and transport for many years, including national systems in Sweden, England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, and urban systems in London, Sydney and Stockholm; our staff are experienced in the delivery of systems conforming to the Department for Transport's UTMC standards.
