The Niall Mellon Township Trust is an Irish based Charity started by Niall Mellon in 2002. His aim was to build quality social housing for impoverished families living in shacks in the townships of South Africa through an ambitious Volunteer Programme. TO DATE • Built 20,000 Houses • Housed over 100,000 People • 15, 000 Volunteers – (Ireland & SA) • 2000 employed indirectly • 2009 Established its skills training programme. Following ten fantastic years in South Africa we will be in Kenya for the 2013 Building Blitz, where plans are underway to educate children in Kenya through a dedicated school building programme. At present, many schools throughout the country are, quite literally, falling down. This means many children are being denied the education they need to realise their full potential in life.
