Teliani Valley is a winery making some of the most vibrant, different, fresh, mind altering wines in the world. And doing it with such joy, hope and soul.
And it’s done not in a kind of homespun hit-or-miss way. Combining state of the art wine craft - the science of how to coax the best from nature - with a wisdom and inherited know-how that comes from a line of winemakers stretching back 8000 years.
This is the wine of Georgia - a land blessed with more than 500 grape varieties, a geography and a climate that is God given when it comes to vines, and an approach to winemaking that is at the core of who we are.
Teliani is at the very forefront of Georgian wine. The roots of the business are in the personal sacrifice of cutting edge winemakers pooling their passion and resources to make great wines. Teliani Valley today attracts and supports the most exciting winemakers in Georgia, and gives them everything they need to make ground breaking, transcendent wines. These are artists at work. Highly trained experts - given the creative freedom to make what they want from the grapes that grow through the land.
Teliani make a dazzling range of fresh, vibrant wines packed with character. There are gutsy reds, delicate and refreshing whites and flinty amber wines. Some are Qvevri - skin contact wines made in earthenware amphora in the way Georgians have made wine since the time of Noah.
And beyond the wines there is much more to that world to discover - the chance to meet the makers, to travel to and through Georgia, to share and share and share the wine and the food with the people who have brought it into the world.
This is an invitation to awaken your soul, laugh and love like a Georgian, change the way you look at the world and be just a little more Georgian.
Château Mukhrani is the first Georgian Château, which combines four main components: a vineyard, the wine cellar, the castle and the history. Its name is connected with the name of the representative of the royal Bagrationi dynasty, Ivane Mukhranbatoni, who in the 70s of the 19th century during his trip to France has studied the concept of the Château and began its introduction in his domain. The date indicated in the name of the restaurant, 1878, is related to the bottling of the first bottle of Mukhranian wine by Ivane Mukhranbatoni. The castle of Ivane Mukhranbatoni is widely known for its fabulous beauty, but only in 2002 it has regained its former appearance. The production of Mukhranian products, which are made with mixture of modern and traditional technologies, is recovering gradually. Wines of Ivane Mukhranbatoni were always distinguished by their exquisite taste and are still very popular both in domestic and international markets.
Badagoni has been proudly sharing the rich 8,000-year-old tradition of Georgian winemaking since we started in 2006, in the heart of Kakheti, Georgia’s main wine region. With over 500 hectares of vineyards across different micro-zones, we combine ancient winemaking methods with modern technology to create the best Georgian wines.
We’re pioneers in raising the quality standards of Georgian wine and work closely with Enosis Meraviglia, Italy’s top wine research center, to ensure every bottle meets the highest standards. We produce wines only from native Georgian grape varieties, using both traditional Georgian methods, like Qvevri, and European winemaking techniques.
Since 2017, we’ve been the leading wine exporter from Georgia, shipping our wines to more than 35 countries. With over 12 million bottles produced each year, our range includes still and sparkling wines, Chacha, and our special Qvevri wines, made in the historic 11th-century Alaverdi Monastery.
We’re also proud to be part of Georgia’s growing wine tourism scene, with four restaurants, three hotels, and educational programs like the Qvevri Academy. With a team of 1,500 people, we continue to expand Georgian wine’s global presence while staying true to our roots.
