Joint Initiatives for Youth + Families (JI) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, serving the Pikes Peak region. JI’s work centers on empowering individuals to advance a safe, healthy, and flourishing community by preventing, reducing, intervening, and solving the social problems when families have limited (or fragmented) access to thrive. JI leads the charge to bring over 60 different community organizations, local leaders, and government agencies to the table, working collaboratively to solve data-driven community issues embraced with an equity lens and collective impact focus.
Established in 2016, Community Builders is the leading Not-for-Profit Construction based Social Enterprise in Simcoe County and Greater Sudbury. We provide training, employment, and affordable housing to meet the growing needs of our community’s most vulnerable and at risk populations.
We are experienced general contractors, serving our community through a variety of residential housing projects including legal Second Suites, modular housing, social impact projects, and renovations of all types. These projects allow us to teach and train the next generation of skilled tradespeople through our pre-employment training program, giving them paid hands-on learning opportunities in construction.
Our training program is designed to give people in our communities facing barriers to employment a foundational knowledge that will support them as they start a meaningful career in the trades. We are connecting those who need the work, with the work that most needs to be done.
We are Difference Makers.
