The National Foreign Language Center (NFLC) is a research institute of the University of Maryland. We develop educational materials in a variety of languages and disciplines for businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions and organizations. Our STARTALK program provides language-learning opportunities in critical languages for students (K-16) and professional development for teachers of critical languages. We develop e-learning lessons and modules, instructor-led training, assessments, and scenario-based training. Our non-language educational material topics include Maps and Geo-Coordinate Systems, Structured Analysis of Competing Hypotheses, Critical Thinking Structured Analysis, Global Networks, Modulation, and Multiplexing.
