Next Char's mission is to build a healthy environment by sequestering greenhouses gases, absorbing toxins from the water and soil, and conserving water and fertilizer use in agriculture. We do this by using patent-pending NextChar technology to sequester 50% of the CO2 from biomass waste, and turning into high-quality biochar. Biochar has been proven effective in remediating toxins and heavy metals from soil, filtering toxins and heavy metals from water, and retaining moisture and nutrients in soil. NextChar will be the first industrial scale manufacturer of biochar using its proprietary pyrolysis technology. The patent-pending NextChar technology is designed specifically for the production of consistently high quality biochar and heat-energy. With our current processor, we produce 1,000 tons of biochar, and sequester 3,000 tons of CO2 a year, while providing renewable heat for four acres of greenhouse farming. We work with farmers, city landscapers, sustainable energy officers, state agriculture and environmental officials, and universities to create a healthier planet.
