NextCAT is commercializing a class heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production that will enable cost efficient processing of significantly lower priced feedstocks like residual corn oil, waste vegetable oil and brown grease. This catalyst technology is a product of research performed at the National Biofuels Energy Lab (NBEL) at Wayne State University. By utilizing patented heterogeneous catalysts, we will enable the production of biodiesel fuel from high FFA feedstocks and reduce the production cost by at least $1.00 per gallon.
